The Dress and Shoes

"My dress was from Amelia’s bridal shop in Clitheroe, the girls in there were absolutely lovely and helped me choose the right dress for me which was totally different to what I thought I wanted but suited me perfectly. The shoes were from ASOS they do an amazing bridal shoes range. I chose a simple ivory design with an illusion scoop back and small train, a simple closed toe ivory satin shoe and a double layer veil with lace trim for the show stopper!"

The Make up, Hair and Flowers

"I chose Beau Hair Academy from Buxton, they were super professional and kept me so relaxed on the wedding morning and made sure me, my 6 bridesmaids and mum all looked fabulous. The flowers… Where do I start! We chose our friend Kirsty who runs her own floristry business ‘Harper Floristry’ we chose burgundy, nudes and ivory’s with a rustic/glam feel. They turned out better than we could off ever imagined!! They really made the wedding as beautiful as it was! "

The Groomsmen Suits

"Next. They had a good choice of styles and due to having 6 groomsmen it was easier to manage with several locations to change sizes etc. if and when people chose to do so."

The entrance of the bride

Sophie "I felt like the world had stood still and although there were 80 people in the room it was like it was just me and Stu, like the 2 years of wedding planning and stress was for that moment and it was the best feeling ever."

Stuart "It was like a dream, not knowing what to expect, waiting for the moment and then being wowed when Sophie came into view as she started walking down the stairs past the stain glass window."

The Ceremony

Sophie "The ceremony was so relaxed. It was emotional but happy, we were both nervous and said a few words wrong when repeating our vows which added to the memories."

Celebrations and Confetti

"It was amazing to see everyone after the ceremony, it was a feeling I doubt we will ever feel again."

The bride and groom photoshoot

"We chose Frances as she has experience at the venue and we loved her portfolio pictures we loved how natural the photos are kept. Working with Frances was a dream, she was invisible most of the day but got the best photos! A lot of people told us that our guests would get the best photos and that the photographer pictures would be the standard family posing shots… this definitely is not the case with Frances, the photos are so natural she really caught the mood of the day which was pure joy and happiness. It’s so hard to choose a favourite but one to mention has to be the picture we are doing the lift with Thornbridge hall in the back ground we are so happy!"

The wedding breakfast and speeches

"We both got really emotional when we were sat at the top table watching everyone have an good time, laughing and having fun I think it was then that it hit us both that everyone we loved were all together and they were all there for US! The genuine stories from the speeches brought back memories for different guests."

The cake and first dance

"Stu’s Auntie made the cake and once again it was better than we ever could have imagined! It was a three tier naked cake, with fresh flowers provided by Kirsty and fresh fruits such as grapes and figs, it autumn did cakes this would be it!

James Morrison – I Won't Let Go has be one of our favourite songs for years and it seemed the perfect song to have our first dance to."

Most memorable moment

"A collection of feelings and emotions that we have never experienced, which we will never forget for the rest of our lives.

Stuart "The kissing of the bride was special."
